Typical Owstwecians
A 'Headectomy'
The attempt to remove Steve's head is a common activity in Owstwick. There are various theories as to where this ritual originated, but no-one is 100% sure. The most popular is that he would be more productive without it. Adam is attempting to remove Steve's head using the less traditional 'hopping chin-clasp' stance. Ray Fenwick performs the 'bared-nipple' dance while Sarah Richardson looks on with disbelief.
Another 'Headectomy'
Another attempt to manually decapitate Steve is shown here. This time Adam is using the 'well-balanced jaw clamp' method. Note the Ki in the background.
An Owstwecian Octet (from left - Mark Oglesby, Steve Ducker, Dave Binns, Kirsty Reid, Matthew Phillips, Emily Hembrough, Ray Fenwick and Lisa Britton)
Some Owstwecians and their friends on a day-trip to Bridlington. In the July of 1991, Mark Oglesby, Adam Hembrough, Steve Ducker, Ray Fenwick and David Binns cycled 25 miles to Bridlington on one of the hotter days of the year. Once there, we met up with Matthew Phillips, Kirsty Reid, Lisa Britton, Sarah Painter, Kerry Ledger and Emily Hembrough.
A fine day was had by all, however disaster struck when we set the non-cyclists to the bus station, Ray had wandered over to fetch his cycle and wheeled it over with a puncture. There is a rumour that he deflated the tyre himself so he could get out of cycling home and catch the bus home with his girlfriend, Emily. However, he has denied this allegation. Regardless, he missed out on a visit to the pub in Leven for those of us who cycled home.

Again, here we see a prime example of some Owstwecians mingling with friends. This was taken after a night out at the pub.
