The Disused Chapel

 

The Chapel

 

This is the disused chapel which lies at the top of the New Road. Not much is known about it, apart from that it used to be used by the Mormon Society. Who actually owns it now is anybody's guess. It's marked as disused on a map dated 1927, so who knows how long it's been there. The picture was taken in fading light in December 1996.

This is Mark Oglesby, who is absolutely soaking wet, in the disused chapel that lies at the top of the New Road. It had been raining heavily all day and this was the only shelter we had that day.
